Mid-Continent Instruments introduces new IT Manager 

WICHITA, Kan. — Mid-Continent Instruments has named Kim McCrary as the company’s new Information Technology Manager.  McCrary is responsible for overall planning, organizing and execution of all IT functions for the company.  In addition, McCrary is charged with researching the latest in Information Technology, coordination of all IT-related employee training sessions and implementation of time saving solutions.

McCrary has eight years of experience in the IT field and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Operations and Security Management from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas.  She has acquired Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator certifications.  “I look forward to implementing new technologies and processes that will make Mid-Continent Instruments all the more efficient,” said McCrary.

“Mid-Continent Instruments will benefit from Kim’s expertise in both network and software applications,” said Cindy Highbarger, CFO for Mid-Continent Instruments.  “Kim will be able to provide a cohesive view of our IT structure in order to develop the best systems for our employees, which allows our employees to better serve customers.”

Mid-Continent Instruments manufactures aircraft instruments for the general aviation industry.  Services at the Wichita, Kansas facility also include developing and manufacturing new avionics products.  Mid-Continent Instruments West in Van Nuys, California provides new instrument sales and is the top-rated instrument overhaul shop on the west coast.  Together the locations employ more than 150 people and offer the largest general aviation instrument overhaul/exchange program in the world.  Specialties include gyro, altimeter, HSI and autopilot system overhauls.  Mid-Continent instruments are found in all new Cessna airplanes and in Raytheon’s Beech line of Bonanzas, Barons, King Airs and 1900 Airliners.  Instruments are sold to other manufacturers such as GARMIN International, Honeywell, Cirrus, Lancair, Piper Aircraft Inc., Diamond and Robinson Helicopter Co.
