Mid-Continent Instruments West expands customer service department

 

VAN NUYS, Cal. — Mid-Continent Instruments announces the expansion of the customer service department in Van Nuys, California with the addition of Patrick Currie and Nichole Czaplewski.

“Adding to our existing staff is necessary in order to continue providing the high level of service that our customers are accustomed to,” said Matt Fowle, Western Region manager.  “Nichole and Patrick have the right combination of skills and ‘can do’ attitude that make them valuable additions to our team.”

Patrick Currie will serve as the primary source for order status by responding to customer shipping and tracking questions as well as receiving sales calls.  Currie has 14 years experience in various fields managing and training employees, purchasing equipment, implementing programs and assisting vendors and customers.

Nichole Czaplewski will strengthen the customer service team’s ability to communicate with customers more effectively.  Her responsibilities include organizing schedules, providing customers with quotes, and assisting the Western Region manager.

Currie and Czaplewski add depth to a veteran team in Van Nuys.  Since 1990, Mid-Continent West has been offering exchange and overhaul services worldwide, with special emphasis on the western United States and the Pacific Rim.  With 28 employees and a location on the east side of the Van Nuys airport, Mid-Continent West has earned a reputation as one of the top instrument shops in the country.

 

Mid-Continent Instruments manufactures aircraft instruments for the general aviation industry.  Services at the Wichita, Kansas facility also include developing and manufacturing new avionics products.  Mid-Continent Instruments West in Van Nuys, California provides new instrument sales and is the top-rated instrument overhaul shop on the west coast.  Together the locations employ more than 150 people and offer the largest general aviation instrument overhaul/exchange program in the world.  Specialties include gyro, altimeter, HSI and autopilot system overhauls.  Mid-Continent instruments are found in all new Cessna airplanes and in Raytheon’s Beech line of Bonanzas, Barons, King Airs and 1900 Airliners.  Instruments are sold to other manufacturers such as GARMIN International, Honeywell, Cirrus, Lancair, Piper Aircraft Inc., Diamond and Robinson Helicopter Co.
